BeginnaRunna is a personal blog about starting to run. This page sets out what is collected when you read it.
Counting visits
The site uses Google Analytics to count visits: which pages are read, roughly which country and city readers are in, how they found the site, and which device and browser they use. Google Analytics sets cookies so that a returning reader can be told apart from a new one. It does not tell this site your name or email address. Google explains how it uses this data in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
You can stop Google Analytics from counting your visits on any site with Google’s opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Nothing else is collected
There are no comments, sign-ups, forms or ads on the site, so nothing else is collected from readers. Like every website, the server that hosts it keeps standard access logs (the address your device connects from, the page asked for and the browser used) to keep the site running and secure.
Changes
If this changes, for example when a newsletter or ads are added, this page will be updated first.
